Antenna Tests #3

Download Hi-Res Image

A STEREO engineer at APL verifies alignment of Observatory A's high-gain antenna. Observatory "A" (the one that will be placed "ahead" of Earth in its orbit around the sun) is seen to the right.

After launch, high-gain antennas are used for downlinking data from, or uplinking commands to, a spacecraft.
