Teaming up to Test High-Gain Antenna

STEREO thermal and stress analysts; mechanical, electrical, systems and radio frequency engineers; and solar blanket technicians all team together to prepare for a thermal vacuum test on a STEREO high-gain antenna mechanism known as a rotary actuator. All of these disciplines must come together to ensure the movable high-gain antenna with its harness and solar blankets will properly operate at anticipated temperatures once in space.
