Preparing for Vibration Tests

Prior to vibration tests, an APL technician secures the electrical harness routed to the high-gain antenna on the STEREO "A" observatory (the one that will be placed ahead of Earth in its orbit around the sun).

During spacecraft construction, individual components and assemblies are tested in an APL facility that simulates vibrations a spacecraft will encounter during its ride aboard a launch vehicle.
