Shielding the Spacecraft

APL engineers install an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) cover onto one of the STEREO observatory's flight batteries. Special EMI shielding is being used on all STEREO spacecraft electronics to prevent interference with some of the more sensitive instruments onboard the twin observatories.
