APL STEREO engineers integrate the Miniature Inertial Measurement Units onto STEREO's "B" observatory (the one that will be placed "behind" Earth in its orbit around the sun). The devices, created by Honeywell, will guide and control the spacecraft as it orbits the sun during its 2-year mission. Each STEREO observatory will be equipped with two of these units.
