Installing a High-Gain Antenna

STEREO technicians at APL install a high-gain antenna onto Observatory "B" (the one that will be placed "behind" Earth in its orbit around the sun).

After launch, high-gain antennas are used for downlinking data from, or uplinking commands to, a spacecraft.
